Terms of service
Last updated: 1 September 2026
1. Who we are and what we do
DearCove is a personal sourcing service for pre-loved luxury bags, run by Francesca Benassi, reachable at info@dearcove.com.
We take your request, review it and manually search the boutiques in our network for the proposals that best match what you long for. Then we write to you.
2. What DearCove is not
This is the most important point on the page.
- We do not sell bags. We are not a shop, not a marketplace, and we hold no stock.
- We are not a party to the sale. The purchase is concluded directly between you and the boutique, on the boutique's terms, prices and conditions.
- We take no money from you. The sourcing service is free. At this stage DearCove receives no commission: neither from you, nor from the boutiques. Should that change in future, these terms will be updated and the change stated openly before it takes effect.
- We do not certify authenticity. We select boutiques we consider trustworthy, but authentication, warranty and product conformity remain the selling boutique's responsibility.
3. A request is not a commitment
Sending a request does not bind you to buy anything, and does not bind us to find anything. You may change your mind, not reply, or ask us to stop the search at any time, at no cost and without owing us an explanation.
Likewise, we may tell you that we could not identify suitable proposals.
4. What we ask of you
- To be at least 18 years old.
- To give us truthful information, starting with a valid email address.
- Not to use the form for anything other than a genuine search.
We reserve the right not to act on requests that are plainly false, abusive or automated.
5. Availability and prices
The proposals we present carry the date of the last availability check. The pre-loved market is changeable by nature: a piece may be sold in the meantime and prices may change. We verify again before putting you in touch with a boutique, but we cannot guarantee that a proposal is still available when you decide.
6. Timing
Every search is manual, so timing depends on what you are looking for and what comes onto the market. We do not state a deadline and do not guarantee one.
7. Liability
We answer for what we do: the care taken in the search and the accuracy of the information we pass on to you. We do not answer for what happens between you and the boutique — payment, shipping, returns, warranty, product conformity — nor for out-of-date content originating from third parties.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer.
8. Intellectual property
The DearCove name, logo, texts and design of this site belong to the owner. The trademarks of the bags mentioned belong to their respective owners and are named for descriptive purposes only: DearCove is not affiliated with, authorised by or sponsored by any maison.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page under the date shown above; requests already in progress are governed by the version in force when they were sent.
10. Governing law
Italian law applies. For disputes with consumers, the court of the consumer's place of residence or domicile has jurisdiction. You may also use the European online dispute resolution platform.
